“Our focus right now is what we’re referring to as a global initiative to improve the well-being of women and children.” — President Camille N. Johnson
On Thursday, September 18, 2025, President Johnson, Relief Society General President, and CEO Loau of MWCSD met in Apia to explore collaboration to strengthen families, improve child nutrition, and support villages in Samoa.
Loau further reflected that Samoa’s District Development Project reflects the same spirit as the Beijing Platform for Action — everyone is responsible, leadership begins at the grassroots, and no one is left behind. She also acknowledged the dedication of village representatives, who continue daily inspections to safeguard wellbeing and curb dengue fever risks.
This partnership dialogue reaffirms the shared vision of resilient families and empowered communities, grounded in service and faith.
