The Hon. Minister was graced by a visit from PACIFICA Inc on the second day of CSW in New York. The PACIFICA Inc is a network of Pacific Women NGOs in New Zealand which serves the Pacific Community through women empowerment programs. The purpose of the meeting was to share and discuss areas of common interest for collaboration in order to support our Pacific women and communities in New Zealand as well as in Samoa. Some of the key areas highlighted included support for women in labour mobility scheme, child protection issues pertaining to children adopted to families in New Zealand, economic empowerment through small businesses for Pacific women and others.
